Dot Iso is a NYC-based trio performing improvised music, as well as compositions by its members and established figures such as Anthony Braxton, John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman and more. Formed in 2021 and comprised of Vivek Menon (violin), Dylan DelGiudice (guitar & saxophone), and Orchid McRae (percussion) the trio is deeply collaborative, often rehearsing overnight for several hours of continuous improvised performance. They have released two albums “I Read Too Many Things” and “Live at Downtown Music Gallery, 10/08/24.” Improvising together they combine elements of post rock, free jazz, contemporary classical, and hip hop djing while retaining their own unmistakable voices.
